Cummins Tech

Here is some useful information for your Dodge Ram Cummins Diesel.

Place the key in the ignition with doors closed.
Cycle the ignition key 5 times from the off position to the run position without turning the engine over.
NOTE: Leave key in the run position on the 5th cycle.
This will clear any DTCs that are stuck in the PCM.

EX: KEY IN (OFF POSITION) –> RUN –> OFF –> RUN –> OFF –> RUN –> OFF –> RUN –> OFF –> RUN

Place the key in the ignition with doors closed.
Turn the ignition key to the run position without cranking the engine.
Press the gas pedal to the floor 3 times within 10 seconds.
Turn the key to the off/lock position.
The “Oil Change Required” message should no longer appear.

Put the key in the ignition with doors closed.
Turn the ignition key to the run position without cranking the engine.
Press and release the brake pedal 2 times.
Press the gas pedal to the floor slowly 2 times within 10 seconds.
Turn the ignition key to the off/lock position.
The “Perform Service” message should no longer appear.
